Anna Maria Braun to succeed Heinz-Walter Große as Chairman of the Management Board of B. Braun Melsungen AG in April 2019
The Supervisory Board of B. Braun Melsungen AG decided in its meeting of today that Anna Maria Braun (39) will assume the Chairmanship of the Management Board of B. Braun Melsungen AG effective April 1st, 2019.
Anna Maria Braun succeeds Prof. Dr. Heinz-Walter Große (65), who will retire after serving 14 years on the Management Board and eight years as its Chairman.
Anna Maria Braun was appointed to the Management Board of B. Braun Melsungen AG in 2016 and since that time has been responsible for the B. Braun operations in the Asia Pacific region. She will maintain this responsibility and, in addition, will assume the responsibility for legal matters and human resources and will also serve as the company’s Director for Labor Relations.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. Ludwig Georg Braun, thanked Prof. Dr. Heinz-Walter Große for his many years of service to the company. Anna Maria Braun has been serving as a member of the Management Board since April 2016. In 2013, she assumed responsibility for the Malaysian subsidiary, B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd, and as President Asia Pacific, for all the B. Braun businesses in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to these appointments she held various positions in B. Braun operations in Malaysia and the US.
Anna Maria Braun is an attorney with law degrees from Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, and New York State, USA, and holds a Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University, Washington, DC. Before joining the company in 2009, she worked as a commercial lawyer in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Anna Maria Braun is married and has three children.
